Biography
Oliver Gomez, born in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, is a rising artist who has been making waves in the music industry. Growing up in a musically rich environment, Oliver appeared as a finalist in the ’18 & ’19 Essentially Ellington Festival. His dedication led him to pursue an education at the renowned Eastman School of Music, graduating in 2024. There, Oliver developed his technical ability and strong presence within a rhythm section under the direction of Jeff Campbell.
Throughout his career, Oliver has shared the stage with artists such as The Baylor Project, The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra, Russell Schmidt, and Alexa Tarantino. He has also had the pleasure of performing at festivals around the country, namely, the Rochester International Jazz Festival, Madison Jazz Festival, and Rochester Lilac Festival.
As an educator, he has led or aided in numerous masterclasses and camps nationwide, including, Vail Jazz’s Jammin’ Jazz Kids, Summer @ Eastman, and The Hochstein School’s Jazz and Improvisation Workshop.
Oliver is now based in New York City and on tour with The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra.
